Vattenfall Power Solutions (VPS) supports Vattenfall's nuclear and hydro power operations with project management, training, qualifications, nuclear fuel, engineering services, and business development. About the Role
As Head of the Project Management Team, you will play a central role in building New Nuclear Support and are responsible for shaping an ambitious team within a completely new operation. You will lead project managers and senior specialists, secure capacity, and create structures that enable Vattenfall's investment in new nuclear power – in an environment where collaboration, development, and clear direction are crucial.
New Nuclear Support (NNS) is a new department within VPS with the mission to support Vattenfall's investment in new nuclear power. Following the implemented reorganization (effective April 1), we are now building three units – and you will be one of the managers shaping the whole from the start.
As Head of the Project Management Team, you will lead a competent team of project managers and senior specialists, responsible for planning and staffing assignments, developing competence, and creating conditions for secure deliveries in a complex and regulated context. The unit currently consists of 13 employees stationed at various locations on both the west and east coasts.
Your Responsibilities
- Be responsible for personnel, work environment, and budget
- Build and ensure competence and delivery capability
- Actively participate in the department's strategic work
- Develop working methods and collaboration with other units within Vattenfall
- Work closely with Videberg Kraft AB and other stakeholders
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has
- Several years of management experience or equivalent
- A Master of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- The ability to lead senior specialists
- Experience from larger project, program, or industrial operations
- Good understanding of project control, resource management, and business development
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
- Class B driver's license
Merits
- Experience from the energy sector, nuclear power, or regulated industry
- Experience in change management
- Project management/sponsor experience in large complex projects

Location is preferably Ringhals, Gothenburg, or Solna. International and domestic travel occurs, but we actively work with technical aids to minimize these.
